I’ve been dying to make this recipe ever since I saw it on Joy the Baker’s gorgeous site: chocolate orange bundt cake. You can get the recipe in the link to her site, and I provide photos of my version, with the addition of a light glaze made with powdered sugar and fresh orange juice:
I don’t know if you can see all the orange zest in the orange part, and the chocolate chips in the chocolate part, but they’re there. We prefer gooey sticky treats to cake, but this is certainly a pretty cake, and easy to make.
Then, remember a few posts ago, when I asked M to make me some more couscous? Well, he did. This time he used a lot more mint, he added some fresh asparagus in place of the cucumbers (because the cukes looked awful at the market), he hydrated the apricots a bit differently, he added capers and nuts, and he added so much garlic it makes our heads spin in delight. LOTS of good eating going on in our house this weekend:
Finally, the flowers M bought me for mother’s day last weekend:
Happy Sunday, y’all.

Okay the frosting on the cake has me swooning and drooling. What a beautiful cake.
thanks Cathy (and Joy, for the recipe)! i do think the glaze was a good touch for this cake.
